Is UR Code Safe?

UR Code offers several combinations of Polyethylene Glycols (PEG) in the form of a soft gel capsule as a urine marker identifier. Polyethylene glycols are often used in manufacturing of virtually all drug groups. They are also commonly used in ice cream, tooth pastes, baby Oraljel, laxatives, muscle relaxants, over the counter analgesics and other common pharmaceuticals.

UR Code is not metabolized, but simply absorbed in the body and eliminated through the urine avoiding undue risk of adverse events or allergic reaction. The polyethylene glycols used for the UR Code are absorbed, not metabolized, they are therefore excreted in their entirety.

UR Code is not considered a drug and has a written FDA concurrence (under Ruma Marker) for its intended use; to provide a urine sample marker for the authentication and verification of the origin and identity of the sample being tested.

Polyethylene glycols have been used for more than 50 years as a galenic base (in order to enhance absorption by the body) for drugs and are considered an 'inactive ingredient by the FDA.

In over 5,000,000 UR Code administrations over a 7 year period, no side effects have ever been observed or reported. UR Code is usually completely excreted after six to eight hours. Should the patient not provide a sample during that time, it may be possible to detect UR Code in the urine at an even later time.
